For the 2011 promo of Deadliest Catch, Prologue wanted to reference the recent passing of cast member Phil Harris, but reinforce the resilience of the rest of the fisherman on the show. Set to the music track “Ain’t No Grave,” by Johnny Cash, a song about defying death, the promo gives viewers a glance at the looks of determination from the fisherman despite the recent tragedy. This is capped off by a close-up on Josh Harris, the son of Phil Harris, looking up to the sky as an eagle appears behind him and flies up into the Deadliest Catch logo. Prologue created the Deadliest Catch typography to reflect the forestry landscape of Alaska, with the splintering letters, but retaining the bold strength of the characters of the show.
