The 2012 NFL Draft produced such first-round stars as Andrew Luck and Bruce Irvin. However, what it also produced was a number of players who overcame their low draft standing to become some of the NFL’s premier names, such as Russell Wilson and Alshon Jeffery. Their stories represent the culmination of a dream that started as a child and eventually ended with getting their name called up to the stage in Chicago. Prologue created an intro that echoed that sentiment of a childhood dream coming to fruition. We shot and directed live-action sequences of locker rooms, players in uniform, and home movie screens depicting vintage footage of children tossing around a ball. We then edited together a montage using a collection of stock footage from broadcasts that featured action from the Pop-Warner level all the way through college, representing the long and tedious path these players take to the pros.
