ENTERTAINMENT BRANDING

Prologue was approached to create a logo and an animated sequence for Ken Kao’s Waypoint Entertainment, to play at the head of Shane Black and Joel Silver’s film The Nice Guys. The animation centers around the idea of a ‘waypoint’ which is the end of a journey, or a stopping point. At first, a blinding spotlight shines directly into the camera. The light then retracts into the background, pulling the company name in from the foreground. As the letters move in, each line begins to sway in either direction, much like the arms of a compass, as if the words themselves are attempting to point the viewer to whatever waypoint they may be looking for.
